Frequently Asked Questions

  • Description text goes hereDifference between Skin boosters:

Skin booster can be hyaluronic acid fillers or polynucleotides or exosomes.

    1. Hyaluronic acid skin boosters might contain amino acids that will work on pigmentation as well, but they mostly restore the natural hyaluronic acid you lose with age. They will hydrate the skin, smoothen fine lines and wrinkles, restore the plumpiness of the skin, hence give a beautiful glow. At the clinic we use a different range of HA skin boosters such as Juvederm Volite, Restylane skin boosters, Teoxane Redensity1 or RHA1, Croma rich.

    2. Polynucleotides

    3. Exosomes

  • Exosomes are membrane-bound vesicles secreted by cells. They contain proteins, lipids, nucleic

acids, and microRNAs that can signal cell repair and have modest anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. These particles are extracted from either plant, or human origin that will deliver a message to your cells to slow, and repair the aging process.

The miRNA will produce proteins who in turn will message your fibroblasts to secrete collagen and enhance its production.

It can work on scars, hair loss, acne scars, pigmentation, acne and undergoes studies in Alzheimer disease as well as Cardiac degenerative diseases.

How many sessions of exosomes do I need?

Exosome injections are spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, with visible results appearing within 4 to 6 weeks. The results can last for up to 12 to 18 months, depending on individual skin characteristics and lifestyle factors. The number of sessions are to be determined by your doctor.

  • How many filler syringes do I need?

With aging, the face loses it’s youthfull appearance with sagging and laxity happening in all the face (upper, mid, lower). Your treatment will depend on your age, your genetics, your sun exposure and your tobacco consumption. Thicker fillers need to be put on bone to lift the tissues and restore volume loss. On top of fat loss, you will also lose bone with age leading to a receding chin and cheeks. Young patients may need a large volume of fillers if they have no bone definition, or fat in the face (up to 8-9 syringes sometimes), and older patients might need sometimes up to 15-20 syringes. It is not the norm but some cases require this much filler. Insert picture of what is 1 ml of filler, of mauricio di maio 20 syringes etc..

When will I see the results from my fillers?

Results of volumizing or lifting fillers are seen immediately with gradual improvement and settling of the product into the skin for 1 month.

Skinboosters usually take between 1-2 weeks to show results.

When will I see the results from my Sculptra?

Sessions of Sculptra are usually done depending on your doctor’s recommendation. It is either 2 sessions, each 6 weeks apart, or 3 sessions 4 weeks apart. Results from Sculptra start to show after 3 months when the product has completely disappeared from the skin, and will start to induce collagen formation. Your results will last between 2-3 years depending on your metabolism.
